she doesn't have a name yet.... i was thinking of getting a wood burning tool and putting a design on the wheel.... what do you think? i'm waiting for her to 'talk' to me a bit more before we choose a name

Woodburning is a great way....can't remember does she have any kind of a finish on her? if so, you may want to sand it off first. If I remember right, wood burning only works well on "raw" wood.

Celtic knotwork around her would look so cool..... :))

I posted them on EZBoard before but like all the pictures I post, they have disappeared. :( The ones in primary colors are painted directly on the wheel and the purple and pink ones are wooden cut outs of sheep I got at Michael's (hobby store), painted, and glued to the wheel. I also got press on decals and decorated the bobbins but haven't taken pictures of that yet. As it spins around in front of me it has golden stars on it. :))

Yup, it doesn't show for me either. And it doesn't seem to matter where I link from, if it shows at all within a relatively short period of time it fails to link anymore. That's why I removed my pics from signature and profile, too. :))

Sampler Lady, try photobucket.com (http://photobucket.com) - it could be that there is a time-out on the images from the host you are using. Maybe they don't want to lose the bandwidth. It's weird, because I can come to a post of yours and see your image once, but then it's gone the next time I visit.

Okay, I figured out the photo problem. Basically, netsnapshot doesn't want people hotlinking their images (displaying them on another site). If you actually visit your photo album and look at the pics of Esmerelda and then come back here, they will be visible (when they weren't before). That's because the images are now cached on your computer. The next time you come back, they won't be visible because they've been cleared from the cache. I agree with Julie, try Photobucket.com -- it's free and it's very easy. Netsnapshot simply isn't going to let you hotlink images.
