I'm about to finish up an afghan made with the diagonal box stitch/crazy stitch/brick stitch/whatever you want to call it and can't make up my mind for a border. It's for a boy, so I don't want anything frilly. I was thinking either just scs or a twisted cable border, but I'm hoping for some more ideas. I've never made an afghan with this stich before, so I don't know what will work best with it. Any ideas?

when i make them i just do a basic sc around it when i have done more than that like a dc or a shell i notice it kind of pulls away from the afghan and makes it look a little gappy so i just a sc.

Gosh, I leave mine as is. Or sometimes I add a tassel on each corner.
I don't think they need a border.

I tried a few ideas and did notice the border pulling away from every other box (the ones where the stitches are perpendicular to the border) so maybe I will have to stick with sc.
I also thought of just not doing a border but I used 3 different colors made by 3 different companies and one is slightly thicker than the other two and the only place it shows is on the edges so I'd like to try and hide it.
Thanks for the ideas. I have to have this done by tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get the cat hair picked off and snap some pictures before I kiss it goodbye. It's always hard to part with something you've spent so much time on. :(
