Hi...I'm in the process of making a sampler afghan using 12" front post granny squares. I would like to surround the center section, 9-12" blocks, with wide mitred panels. If possible I would love for these panels to be some sort of cable pattern. Has anyone seen patterns wide mitred panels like this?
Thanks in advance.

Of hand I can't think of anything but you can look at CPC:

Check under edgings and also under afghans to see what they're edged with. Don't forget to look under baby afghans.

I did already check there but didn't see anything for mitred panels. ::::sigh::: I wish I could figure out how to mitre a cable pattern. Well, I'm sure I could but it would take forever...LOL...anyone have any ideas?

I think this is about as close as you can get to mitered corners with crochet unless you use tunisian.
