Hi everybody...I am pretty new here and I just made a Photobucket account and (if I can do it correctly) I have some photos to share. They should be clickable(crossing fingers)
For Christmas I made ornaments as gifts. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w70/kathy-and-slick/th_100_1333.jpg (http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w70/kathy-and-slick/100_1333.jpg) The heart is based on an old pattern I had, the origin of which I don't remember. The left-hand flake I made my own design for, based on a picture in the back of an old Magic Crochet magazine--the pattern was going to be in the next issue but I did not have that issue. The middle flake is from Leisure Arts #255, with minor changes. The right hand flake I made up after looking at a book of photos of actual snowflakes--very inspiring. I didn't get the outer chain blocked completely evenly as you can see.
another view as I was boxing and wrapping http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w70/kathy-and-slick/th_100_1334.jpg (http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w70/kathy-and-slick/100_1334.jpg) The one in the lower row is a pattern from an old Women's Household Crochet and is in larger thread, very quick to make.
I have very much enjoyed seeing everyone's projects so I am happy to be able to share:clap
