I have this idea that there should be a simple pattern for crocheted socks for all sizes. Do you have any idea where I can find it?

Right now I'm interested in sizes for newborn baby, 6 mo. and so on, but since I could't learn how to KNIT socks (by myself, because there is no help around me), I really want to know how to crochet socks at least for myself and my hubby in the future.
Thank you

:cheer Your foot is the very best pattern you can get.
Start at the toe, like you would start a hat, with maybe 8 stitches in the first row, then increase until it fits over your toes. Make a note of how many stitches and rows.
Now work without increasing unti it fits almost to your ankle. (allow for it to stretch a little)
Now work around half of the stitches, then make the number of CH to match the stitches left and join with a SL ST to the first ST. (this leaves a nice bit for the heel)
Continue on these stitches , working into the CH where you need to on the next row, for the length you want. Finish off.
Now go back to the hole left at the heel and work a few rows of decreases until the hole is filled in. You will need to work out just how many to decrease on the first row to get the shape you need for the heel.
Finish off then thread the tail through the left over stitch tops and finish off.
Make a second sock to match.
Have fun.
