Done at last. I started this in October and put it aside and forgot about it. I have never been an angel person, but she was so beautiful I had to make her.

The pattern is from Leisure Arts - Crochet Collection. This is a really great book, full of wonderful patterns. I got it off amazon.com cheap too!

WOW! Heather, WOW! That is all I can think to say about your angel. What a beautiful job you did crocheting her. The stitching is gorgeous.

One more--WOW!

I like the clear glitter if you can find it Vicki. It doesn't obscure the work so much but it sparkles like crazy in the light. :twocents

i think you can find some that you just spray on. i have used that in past, but also i have done the starching and then after it is dried, then put some more starch stuff on it and put the glitter on it then. can't wait to make it, gotta find the pattern now. i know i have it somewhere.:loco vicki:wink

The directions called for just starching her wings, and that is what I did. I used liquid starch as that is all I have, plan to buy some spray starch soon. I thought about glitter on the wings too, but did not know where to find any in my junk...I mean craft room! :) Good luck with the angel and I think you will be really impressed when she is done. She is even prettier in person.

Here hair was a chore! But it was worth it when finished. It really has a nice effect and I am glad I did not read the pattern before I started cause I don't know I if I would have done it! <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/laugh.gif" />

Thanks everyone for the compliments. She is really gorgeous in person and worth the work.

Pixie - the pattern book it came from is called Leisure Arts - Crochet Collection. The booklet is full - I MEAN FULL - of great projects and can be purchased used off amazon at a really low price. That is where i got mine.

The holographic glitter would be absolutely beautiful on her. Just her wings, or all over... wonderful job. I am not that into angels, but she would be worth making. :cheer2
