I have this table runner I want to make, but I would like to practice using thread before I tackle that. I found a nice bookmark, but the instructions don't make sense (to me anyway).
Anyone recommend an easy pattern for me? Could be doily, bookmark (preferably), whatever.
Thanks

Snowflakes are easy to make, and can be used for a variety of things, and with Christmas coming up, it's a good time to make them =)

I have made the Pretty Snowflake www.jpfun.com/patterns/03...lake.shtml (http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/03ornaments/prettysnowflake.shtml) It's very quick and easy to make.

I've only made a few things from thread so far. I started with these two bookmarks:
www.denisecrochets.com/vi...ories.html (http://www.denisecrochets.com/victorianmemories.html)
hometown.aol.com/lffunt/lacy.htm (http://hometown.aol.com/lffunt/lacy.htm)

The first one was easier but the second one is prettier IMO. I also want to make this one - it sounds pretty straightforward:
hometown.aol.com/lffunt/jacobs.htm (http://hometown.aol.com/lffunt/jacobs.htm)

Speaking of Bookmarks, I just got done making one of these

It came out very nice, and it was extremely easy to do. Instead of blue ribbon, I used some bright red DMC Baroque that I have had laying around forever. Going to make a cute little Christmas gift to someone :)

Wow Barbara, that teleport link to the snowflake patterns was great! Thanks! I love the look of thread crochet but can only handle a project everynow and then to get my fix. It's so tiny that I find I get tense when working with thread, but the outcome is always satisfying. Snowflakes are a great way to learn.
