Very pretty! I love the colors you used; I know they are traditional cornflower colors, but I need that blue now. NOW! Most excellent job!!

That is lovely!! :cheer Now, the thread you use, what kind is it? It looks to me like the kind that was used to make friendship bracelets (back in the 80's). Anyone remember those?!?:rofl If so, I'd love to give it a try..

It just didn't look like actual "needle & thread" thread from my view....

Thanks, everybody! :fluffy The pattern is free from denisecrochets.com: Angela's Cornflower Bookmark (http://www.denisecrochets.com/cornflower.htm). The thread is size 10 crochet cotton. The blue is fabulous, isn't it? I picked that up at Walmart; it's South Maid, Color 477 Patriotic Blue. The white and green I won in an eBay lot with a bunch of thread and pattern books. The white is J&P Coats Cotton Knit-Cro-Sheen. The green had no label.

I think I saw that blue and thought it pretty in the store, but not striking enough to buy. Now I think it striking, and can't wait to get back to Wal-Mart.

Oh that is so pretty!

I tend to shy away from things that involve color changes (lazy lol!) but that looks to be worth figuring out.

I was dreading those color changes, too, not because of changing, but because of working in the ends. I loved this one so much, I tried it anyway. Working in the ends wasn't bad at all! :clap Definitely worth it.

Just BEAUTIFUL donna. It moved me to try one for myself...I didn't have the gorgeous colors on hand that you did so I didn't even attempt the cornflower. I made a few up as I went along. I posted about it in my blog. Thanks for sharing.

Donna and Ro,

Beautiful job. :clap

I'm tempted to make some now, too. Even have a pattern in mind.
