This episode was great. I really enjoyed listening to it. The quality of the sound sounded fine. I enjoy the fact that I can listen to it on my computer seeing as I don't have a clue about the Pod Cast Thing ya'll talk about. You have inspired me to work on the crab stitch. May I suggest that you announce possibly the Crochet Alongs? Just an Idea!

Excellent episode and so professional. Thank you everyone who had input to making the podcast.

I really enjoyed the International Crochet community and viewing the blogs. I would like to see more of those including USA blogs with a brief profile of the owner. I try to visit member blogs because I get to know them a bit better and sometimes they even have a picture of themselves. I like seeing what people look like so I can put a face with the posts.

The new stitch is another fun segment. I enjoy learning new stitches and the easiest way for me to learn is via a video.

I too would like to see a Crochet Along section with upcoming projects so that I could get a heads up incase I miss reading it on C'Ville.

Helpful hints - default settings to change within User CP to make things easier.

Free Patterns from C'Ville members - would also be nice to have a member identify and provide instructions for some of the patterns that they have made available free via their blogs, etc.

Am I giving too many ideas?

I'm glad everyone is continuing to enjoy Crochet Unraveled! Please keep sharing your comments with us here in this thread or use Audacity or Odeo to send us an audio comment. We REALLY, REALLY want to get some audio comments so we can include your voices in our podcast!

I'm also taking input for Episode 3. You can read this thread (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=46843) for more information on the material I'm looking for and how you can get it to me.

Crochet Unraveled needs YOUR input to keep getting better and better!

I enjoyed a good amount of the 2nd podcast, but I would love it if it sounded less scripted. Scripting can sometimes make someone sound monotone when they're really a lively personality.

Good job on the -cast so far... :)

Terrific episode. I especially enjoyed hearing about our international members. I know that the yarn and patterns over there are a lot different than ours, and they seem to do a lot of thread work.

Its wonderful that you featured the crab stitch. I have used this for many years as edging on baby blankets and childrens cardigans, and I'm so happy that you've been able to share this stitch with others. I think they'll really like it once they get used to it.

Getting better and better! I'm not sure what changes or improvements were made since the first episode, but this one just seemed to really make the time fly by. Well done! I loved the crochet in Australia segment, and I enjoyed the Gotta Have It segment also. I had always wondered why people would want their own yarn winder when they can buy pull skeins, but now I understand.

I don't know if this idea has been suggested before for a future episode, but it might be fun to take the opportunity to explain all the commonly used terms and abbreviations that new or prospective Crochetville members aren't familiar with (WIP, FO, RAOK, CAL, what it means to "frog," etc.). Imagine the weird mental images that went through my head the first time I read a post about someone frogging their project. :lol

Fantastic :clap :cheer :clap! The sound quality was excellent great job Mr KnicKnac!! Very professional with the music added but not "impersonal" either. Still felt as if my buddy Amy was telling all about the nifty stuff she'd found :D Speaking of nifty stuff I'm SO getting that thread cutter!! I'm going to Vegas next week and needed some way to clip yarn...problem solved! Now if I'd just listened when it actually came out I'd've saved some trouble :P

Love the stitch demo!! What a great idea! I'm truly enjoying the podcasts!

HELLO, how amazing, ILOVED the second episode which I have just listened to a minute ago.:clap
I will try to send a voice message but my husband had better tell me where our mic is!Would you like to hear a very English voice?
I too LOVE my yarn winder and the one I had in Canada in the 1980's broke the other day, it seized up with fluff and so on I expect and I bought a new one from Fibrecrafts: a UK website- just in case your English members need to know....
I use it WITH a SKEIN HOLDER - again bought in CANADA in the 1980's : it folds out umbrella style and holds the skein and it spins around when you combine it with the ball winder...!!!BRILLIANT!
And an end to sore arms and tangles.
I don't have a clover cutter but maybe I should as at present at least 4 small pairs of scissors are lost somewhere in the house and I'm using the big kitchen scissors to cut my wool on my fingerless gloves.
( see Blog: www.merrysusan.blogspot.com (http://www.merrysusan.blogspot.com))

I would love to talk about what crochet is like in England:
For a start it's not terribly popular and knitters outnumber us by far, although some - like me- do both.
But I personally prefer crochet!!!
We have 3 monthly knitting magazines and if lucky one of them may feature a crochet pattern- maximum one and not every month....
There are NO crochet magazines at all and although we can order the USA ones : mine often get lost in the post or it can be 8-10 weeks before I receive them.
Yarns too are not as plentiful and varied and relatively more expensive too.
I love the Berroco and NY Yarns sites and also use the free patterns.
Free patterns are an almost unknown item on British websites!!!

In school term time I meet once a week at a crochet class : just to sit and chat and share ideas and so on and I always take my USA magazines or any new books along, I'm a bit of a crochet- book- aholic: over 50 so far in less than 2 years: thanks to Amazon....!!!!

I also go to a knit'n bitch session in a local pub sometimes and we have great fun chatting and stitching, I 'm the only one doing crochet there.

Local yarn shops dissappeared in the 1990's and now we have to drive for miles to the nearest store to feel the yarns( in my case usually 40-60 miles)
So I do order a lot from websites.

I first came across Crochetville when I started a diploma in crochet course with Pauline Turner in late 2005 and I had to make things from patterns: well I had only ever made up my own patterns so a great search - and book buying obsession- started....!
From an interweave crochet magazine I read an article about crochetville and I joined straightaway!!!!
The I had to start a blog- self taught- so I could share my photos too!!!
I am almost finished with level 1 in the Diploma now and that is with having had a year off to make just what I wanted to and not all the prescribed items.

I love your item on secret friends too but I would not be able to post something every week to the USA?!!!!
THANKS AGAIN for a SUPERB podcast WITH fab music and superb sound!!!!:cheer

Yes, I'm writing Episode 3 right now. I hope to record it next week. But I've got a lingering case of bronchitis after a bad cold, and I have an annoying cough when I speak for too long. I may have to wait another week or to for that to finally go away before I can record.
