Hi Crochetville!

After the last Crochet me (http://www.crochetme.kwerky.com/) newsletter went out, subscriptions are up by about 55%, but pattern and article submissions seem to have hit a lull... Ack!

Think of this as a low-stress opportunity to try out your budding designer skills, or to dig up that awesome piece you made ten years ago but never wrote a pattern for. And if you're not ready to submit patterns yet, try your hand at writing an article!

Crochet me is looking for some fun tutorials (basic, beginner, advanced, expert... whatever!), funky kidswear with attitude, stories of crochet adventures, home decor items for non-country homes, patterns involving both knit and crochet, stuff that hangs from the ceiling, and anything else that is new and fresh, funky, exciting, and hip. In general, we're looking for pieces that are conceived -- I can't believe I'm actually using this phrase -- outside the box.

Check out submission guidelines here (http://www.crochetme.kwerky.com/submit.html).

I hope to have my inbox flooded with your ideas!

Cheers,
Kim (Ed.)

Kim, when does the next newsletter get sent out? I need to sign up! I am crocheting up a kids flower pillow, just making it off the top of my head - not looking at any patterns, but wont be done with it for a bit. I want to put it together and see how it all looks before I put the pattern online. Maybe I can write how I got started crocheting this time, and submit the flower pillow next time?

Hi Chelle,

Thanks for your interest! You can sign up on the homepage of Crochet me (www.crochetme.kwerky.com), in the lower left.

There's no set schedule for publication, yet. I've been sending out the newsletter about every 10 days, or so, which is generally when I have new pieces to publish to the site. So just submit things when you're ready, and I'll take it from there.

I'm excited to see your finished pillow!

Stories of how people got started crocheting are going to be used for an article I'm preparing on the topic. All other subjects are open for article submissions. As yet, I've only heard from two people with their stories, and need to hear from many more! So please do send yours along.

Cheers,
Kim

Hi Kim;

I'm working on a toe up sock pattern. When it's done, I'll be bugging you with it. I thought it could go with my regular sock pattern. People can start on either end of the sock. :rollin

Before I read this post, I had started working on a little non-country kitchen set to submit to your site, so I'm working harder at finishing it right now. :) I also have a little girl that is quite the fashion diva, so I will have to work on a few funky outfits for kids also.
