As others have said, you can find licensed Hello Kitty patterns from Japanese magazines on eBay and some other sources.

There are some sites on the internet that have free Hello Kitty patterns available. Hello Kitty is a trademarked character. In order to distribute patterns featuring this character legally, designers need to make appropriate licensing arrangements with the owner of the tradermark (Sanrio Corporation). I have not seen any indication on any of the free sites that these licensing arrangements are in place. And they probably aren't, because most companies charge a hefty fee for licensing, which independent designers cannot afford.

To protect Crochetville from the possibility of any legal action, our forum guidelines state that we do not allow links to sites that feature patterns of trademarked characters UNLESS the site claims to have licensing arrangements in place.

So please do not provide links to any sites with Hello Kitty patterns unless that site states their patterns are licensed.
