www.LionBrand.com has two free patterns: one is a 4.5 hour pattern done in Homespun and the second is a 5 hour pattern done in Jiffy.

I am looking for a lapghan pattern that I can do in 4 or 5 hours. Are there any out there? :think
Think big hook and multiple strands of yarn.Check the Scrap Afghan crochet along. It uses 3 strands of yarn, and N or larger hook, and simple stitches. Some are using double crochet, some half double or single. Really fast! And fun!

Right now I am doing a 3 strand ghan using Caron Simply Soft and a P hook. I am using Double Crochet Stitch. It is working up super fast. I tried it with a N hook, but it was too thick, so I went with the P hook.
I just measured it and it is 40" x 16". I have used one skein of each color. I've worked on this on and off for the past 3 hours.
Hope that helps!

How large do you usually make a lapghan?
