I have been searching for baby boy's clothes. There are a few, alongside the numerous patterns for girls. Why is this? I have only found maybe 5 patterns I can try using. I am looking for free tops, pants, and shorts patterns, 6-9 months and larger, for my son. Where is the mother load?

As far as I know...there isn't one. :(

As the mother of 3 boys, I never was able to much for them other than make them blankies, toys, and the occasional hat. I guess it is b/c crochet is considered so feminine. I have seen some cute baby boy things out there...but very rarely at the free pattern sites.

Good luck...and if you find that motherload...let us know.

There is an infant jogging suit free here (http://www.kimanedesigns.net/), as well as a couple of leaflets for sale reasonably for boys.

Yeah, if you find the motherload, I'd like to know too.

Candi Jensen's books have some adorable boy's clothes, but you'd have to buy the books.

I took it upon myself to modify the Baby It's Cold Outside Pattern to a pullover version and a center fasten version (because they seem more masculine than the original side fasten version). There's a Crochet Along for it here http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=36185 that you can check out for details.

There's a cute baby hoodie here http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=179.

There are some baby Ugg boots here http://pamapaloza.blogspot.com/2006/08/crochet-suede-baby-booties.html.

There are Chuck Taylor sneaker booties here http://hometown.aol.com/fourleafcl1064/myhomepage/stpatrick.html and cowboy booties here http://hometown.aol.com/fourleafcl1064/page69.html.

Hope this helps!

There's a few more at CPC than you think. You just have to go through them and maybe change colors on them.

I think they're really hard to find because what else is there to create/design for boys clothing besides pants, overalls, shorts, tops?? Whereas for girls on the other hand, you can create 1,000's of dress designs alone & they can also wear pants &/or almost anyother clothing items that I can think of anyway that boys wear too - so lots more possibilities when it comes to dressing! I don't know if these were suggested yet, but I used "Baby it's cold outside" from Crochet Me and "SLK Baby Saque" to generate near a dozen baby sweaters for boy. Just use boy colors. Or do them in pink - baby isn't going to care.
