Hi everyone! I'm pleased to share that my design called "Peekaboo Plunge" is in the May 07 issue of Crochet! Magazine. You can see a preview of it on my blog here:

That is great you got it published. It looks like something a movie star would wear. I'm not brave enough to wear something like that... I do love the stitches and color though.

Drew- Wonderful design. My personal fave of the blog article was the comment about the insert being removeable after church....cuz that's THE best place to wear a dress like that! :rofl

That's an awesome pattern. I personally wouldn't wear it since my body type wouldn't look good in it, but it's great you got it published. My subscription to Crochet! is about to end, but I think this issue is in one of the final couple I should get. Too bad my daughter isn't a girly girl.

I got my issue in the mail today and that pattern 'popped' out at me. I love it!! Awesome job, Drew!!! It's a beautiful pattern. My DD loves it also (she's 25) and wants me to make it for her. She will definitely wear it!

You know, I wouldn't mind wearing that myself at the beach this summer, with a little bit of adaptation. I would definitely need to wear a certain undergarment with it, so I need to see if I can figure a way to add a back strap that would look good.

It looks so cool and flirty! I love it!!!

It goes to show you -- it takes a guy to design such a sexy pullover! Makes me wish I were 30 years younger and 25 pounds lighter! :blush Congratulations, Drew!

wow, fabulous job with the design! I may just have to buy this issue of Crochet! so I can make this for myself (without the white lacy insert ;) - of course that would drive my bf absolutely crazy...)!!

I now have some terrific motivation to drop some poundage and get back into shape. I've so been drooling over that pattern today, and I'll probably have to give my magazine a raincoat so I don't ruin it when it comes in the mail.

Wonders if it's appropriate for a middle aged, boring, go no where woman to want a dress like that ...

:fame Thanks again everyone! :fame

I'm thinking of designing a wrap that matches the dress, and also a variation that would not make it backless.

Couldn't you picture it in white with a longer skirt and used as a wedding dress? Then the shorter version in color as the bridesmaid's dresses?

Wow! I just love this dress. I'm at that age (late 40's) where I'm still young enough to love those sexy dresses, but unfortunately gravity and a few extra pounds that won't come off make it tough to wear something like this. I think a strapped version would work better for my age bracket. However, I'm running out at lunch today to see if I can find this magazine and buy it. Maybe if I stare at the pattern long enough while walking on the treadmill, the pounds will just melt away and I can pull this off.

That is what I was thinking above. Someone suggested goucho (sp?) pants. I showed the girls here at work, of course now I have to make a few for them.
Great job, very sexy. I love it and can't wait to go get a copy of the magazine.

Oh Drew, that is an absolutly gorgeous piece of work!!
Now, if you can design one with a built in bra, and a titanium girdle, I might just be able to pull it on...lol..
seriously, TO BE YOUNG AGAIN, I would wear it in a heartbeat!
Great designing as usual!
