Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew of some EASY EASY patterns for some teen Moms that I'm teaching how to crochet. I've got a lot of baby fingering weight (3 ply) yarn donated, and I'm having the hardest time finding patterns online that use that, as opposed to sport weight. The patterns need to be easy, as the girls don't read English, and I'll be walking them through each step (probably will write out some kind of diagram for them to follow, like some vintage doily patterns are done). Any ideas? It's hot here in Houston, so I'm not worried about getting warm things. So... If you can find any easy easy patterns written in the fingering weight yarn so that we get the size pretty close for hats, booties, shirts/sweaters, then I would be sooo grateful!! I've been looking, but really not finding much... :(

I normally can modify a pattern to fit a person if I have them there to measure against. Well, with these girls, most of them are pregnant, and so we can't measure the baby yet lol. Typically though, the babies are born on the smaller size, so something newborn would be great to fit for a while.

Thank you sooooooo much!!

What about the "Baby it's Cold Outside" sweater so many folks have made. There is a Crochet-along that has the pattern in it.

Thanks! I was wondering too... If you hold two strands of baby fingering weight together at the same time, is that about like baby sport weight? I mean, I'm thinking of doing that since there are so few patterns with fingering weight yarn. Anyone done this and been successful?
Thanks!!
