Friendship Afghan Squares

I'm in a Friendship Afghan project on myspace & I just thought I'd share a few of my finished squares with the board!

This is actually the first granny square I'd ever made.

This was the first time I tried to change my yarn color while crocheting. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out LOL

Advice needed! In order to dress up the more plain squares, I was thinking about crocheting a flower & attaching it to the middle. The flower would look like this, in a contrasting color of course.
