what is this good for?

i picked up a cone of "little boy blue" yarn/thread stuff at a local thrift shop on saturday. i'm not sure what it is... well, i know it is acrylic - but that is all the label said....
i took a snip of it to the store yesterday and of course they were out of the 'speed cro-sheen' stuff :ohdear so i couldn't compare it to that......
anyhow... there is a bit of a halo to it, and it is thicker than sz 10 there is a lot on this cone... thinking about a small purse? what do you guys think? will there be enough :huh

a purse would work, also what about a shawl? that would be perfect for a light weight summer one..

Also, little pouches for change, chapstick, crystals, jewlery, etc......I love to make little pouches.
