I was wondering if anyone here has moveable storage for their yarn. Both Suzie (Stuzie06) and I go from home to school, with big moves at leat four times (back and forth for the year, and back and forth for christmas break which lasts about a month) and I wanted to figure out something that is easy to use (open), store, and move. Does anyone know if those big rubbermade tubs or something else can double as seating or something, because that would give my yarn storage double purpose which is always GREAT:yay2 !
And if it is not too expensive would be even better!:bounce

I was going to mention that I would probably lean towards using the rubbermaid containers, the ones where you can kind of see thru them. That way if you have more than one (without a doubt~you're a crocheter!) then they can be stacked on top of each other and plus it's portable and easy for moving. You could set it up next to your couch/chair and use the top of it sort of like an end table... but hmm, then how would you get your yarn out?!
Anyways, that's probably what I would buy

the big rubbermaid tubs are very sturdy - that's what i keep everything in that is in my attic - the only thing is that the size is kinda awkward if you're looking for dual purpose... and they aren't see through -- but sturdy :rock

Maybe I will just have to go to WalMart or something and sit on all the tub I can find! :lol If I find one that works, I will have to start thinking about crocheting a cushion for on top--light and easy to move when I want to get into my bin...
