Help! I need some discontinued yarn!

I need less that one skein of Red Heart Kiwi. I need to border about 10 small squares. This color has been discontinued. Its a really bright green color, oddly enough the color of a kiwi. ;)

Can anyone help? I'd be happy to pay for it!

i just cked ebay and there's nothing there..... hmmmmm:scratchchin i just got my stash last week so i know i don't have any. how long ago was it discontinued? have you checked with the red heart company?

Thanks for looking. :) I have a RH swatch card from 1999 at its on there, so its been discontinued in the last 4 years I guess.

Arrrrggghhh! That is the bad thing about using up pieces of your stash. I just loved the color and I am making a baby afghan with some purple and green and cream. And hubby said, "Go ahead and use it. I am sure you'll have enough." What the **** does he know and why did I listen to him?

have you thought about edging them in a varigated that matches? or maybe adding a complimentary color??? a bright-baby blue. (if that makes sense) maybe a lemon yellow? :scratchchin

I put the squares in a plastic container for now. I am still waiting for a couple of friends to check their stashes. If they don't have it, I may do as you suggested. I have a different shade of green (celery) that night work or might do bright purple.

It sucks! One of the perils of trying to use up your stash.
