What was the favorite thing you've ever done? Something that makes you <img border=0 src="http://members.aol.com/dustkittys/jumpy.gif" /> and <img border=0 src="http://members.aol.com/dustkittys/bow.gif" />.

For me, it's a tie between the first <a href="http://julieh.topcities.com/MAM_afghan.html" target="_new">mile a minute</a> afghan I ever did (and the first time I was able to read a pattern), and the <a href="http://julieh.topcities.com/Simply_Kitty_Afghan.html" target="_new">Simply Kitty</a> afghan. I would probably say the Kitty afghan is my favorite if I was pressed. I certainly get the most comments on it from my website.

I think my favorite ever was a project I did of a stuffed elephant for a cousin's baby. It was from Leisure Arts Noah's Ark for Baby book, and I unfortunately never got a picture. I have no idea what happened to that project, and considering it was an ungrateful cousin, probably nothing good! lol

I think my favorite project was a simple scarf made from Lion Brand homespun. I loved it and I gave it to a friend. I have this funky hand-woven scarf that I was given one Christmas that I love, and at the time I knew I wouldn't wear another scarf so I wanted to give it away to someone who I thought would love it. I've never seen her wear it, but she might. Now, I'm craving more and more scarves, so I shoulda kept it!

Scarves..scarves..and more scarves:jump

I love 'em, they're fast and fun and relatively cheap:Y in that I can buy cool, expensive yarn and not spend a bundle because they usually only take one ball:)

Alas, scarf season is soon ending....:\

Now what?

Oh yeah...I love making scarves for myself. I've made probably six or seven this winter. I have two "spring" scarves that I've made myself, too. It's sad how caught up I get in trends. LOL

I made hats for almost everyone at work last year and year before. It was practically a uniform when it got cold. If I'd stayed at that job I am certain half of them would be wanting matching scarves.

My favorite project would HAVE to be the hello kitty afghan I did for my cousin. I made it with simply soft yarn and it turned out so well!

I've only made one scarf! That was a good 4 yrs ago when I made one for my husband. I worked up a simple quick one with red heart. I wasnt able to go out and buy him a Christmas present, so I made it. He has only used it a couple of times, but he liked the thought that I made him something since I couldnt buy him anything :) It would be fun to look at different patterns and yarns to make up a scarf.

I have two favorites, and also 2 of the hardest ones I made. One was an afghan made from hexagons instead of squares, and the other a teddy bear made with loop stitches. The hexagon afghan wound up looking like stained glass, as I used bright colors in shades that went from light to dark and then ended with black. I was so used to the quick granny squares, it took me longer than I expected, but looked so neat. I gave it to my daughter for Christmas. The Teddy was hard as my fingers don't work as well for me as they used to, and the loops weren't as even as I would have liked, but he came out so adorable. He went to my Grand daughter to decorate the bedroom of her new Twins.

OOOOPS!!! Hubby just reminded me of a hat I made from rainbow colored fun fur and regular worsted. It was a cap with a large worsted rose on one side. We went to a fast food restaurant with my daughter and her hubby one day, Hubby ordered while I went to fill the drinks and get the straws, napkins, etc... When he and the others got to the table they were all babbling about how one of the girls behind the counter was enamored of my hat. As we left, she yelled out to me "Flowered hat, I want one!! I'll pay you for one" and gave me a thumbs up. A month or so later we went back and I brought another one I made with me, but she wasn't there. Who knows maybe she will read this someday and contact me?

Since I crochet mainly with thread, can I have a favorite project??

It is the tabletopper I made out of size 20 DMC Cebelia thread with glass beads:

OR maybe the last thing I finished, a 8" doily made out of sewing thread:

If this is for yarn only, then delete my post:eek
