View Full Version : My Newest Design Needs a Name Or a Punchline, New Trend?

When designing you end up with some odd little pieces while trying to figure out what works and what doesn't
So while cleaning up last night I picked up one of my trial swatches and got to examining it. Thought what a funny little hat it would make. I looked up and there was my DH's Falcon/Eagle decanter. I popped it on him and immediately started cracking up. Decided that maybe I had a new trend I could start. You tell me. So it either needs a catchie name or a great punch line, Not sure which would be best.

Kathy, that looks terrific, and also looks very antique in the style.

As usual Kathy, you have some great designs, this included. The names Flower Flapper and Floral Flapper come to mind when I look at it. It seems like one of those hats the Flapper girls would wear back in 30's I think it was. I would definitely wear it out for a night on the town with DH.

I think it looks like those wigs the judges in some countries still wear,
could call it "getting wiggy with it" LOL!

We do history renactments it looks like hat thing that the pioneer women would wear. Not quite a snood and not quite a hat.Mostly to keep hair out of the way.
Sorry I can't thnk of a name for it though.

I love it! It makes me think of Sam the Eagle from the Muppet Show. I have no witty name suggestions to offer, just my laughs! :lol

Am I reading this correctly. You all want me to create a hat like this for people ? Not my decanter ? I will have to consider this as I don't normally do hats.

At first I wanted to laugh but then you look again and think hmm I kinda like it on the bird LOL!!! It would be a cute hat btw. I just bought a magizine (defining crochet, I guess that's the name of it) and there's a little hat on the same order in it! (for adults)

Thanks everyone, I plopped this on his head when I was tired and feeling a bit silly. But I will seriously think about trying to design a hat along those lines if you think anyone would really be interested in it.
Love all the names and punch lines so far.
I must admit I got the giggles the first time I put him in his new finery. So did Dh. But as I said I was tired and feeling silly. BTW he is still wearing his hat..... Makes me smile to look at him, so I like his hat.
