i have this really cute idea in my head.... but i'm afraid to try it because i've never attempted clothing before. i want to make a shruglike jacket (you know, the ones you just kinda put over a tank top and stuff) but in a shell stitch. the tricky part that i'm picturing is that i want all the shells in certain directions so that all the "seams" have a scallop edge, does that make sense? i want it with long and slightly flared sleeves and i want it to go down to about where the leg meets the hip. i have pink, cream, and tan tlc cotton plus that i want to do it with. any help or tips on how to plan this out would be GREAT. oh, and a hood would be cute too i think, especially if it too has the scallop edge.
if it helps, i've got about a 44 inch bust i think, hips are about the same size, waste is prolly like 36 or so. yeah, i know, i'm a chubby little barbie-hipped chick. do you see why i've never attempted clothes? LOL
