Hello all,
Although I've been crocheting for about 30 years, I'm a newbie at making socks. I have tons of KW acrylic and wonder if I can use it for socks. Does the sock yarn have to be a wool blend?
Thanks.

I haven't made socks from acrylic, but I do know of people that have. It's definitely worth trying! :)

I suspect you might find you have some problems with sweaty feet if your sock yarn doesn't include any natural fibres, but I do know some brands sell 100% acrylic sock yarn. It's probably a matter of preference.

They hurt my feet to walk in them. Hubby say's his are fine but I have diabetes and my feet are sensitive.I would use something softer:hook

I've made socks with acrylic, and they do tend to make sweaty feet. But they stretch great!
