I made this afghan for my mother for her christmas when I was about 20 and I am now over 45 and someone has stolen it:eek...I would love to be able to remake it for her (even though I am dreading it since it was a California King). But unfortunately I have not been able to relocate this pattern. I got the original pattern from an afghan magazine and lost it over time and can't remember which one. Can you possibly help me in this search please? My mother is broken hearted at her loss:( and I would love to try to replace it for her

Thanks
Misty

I'm a bit confused on the "octagon square" description.. don't know if you mean that the afghan is made of octagons or what...

But I saw a pattern for a Magnolia afghan on ebay a while back, but don't remember if the leaves stood up or not.

Will try to watch for one with Roses and Leaves standing up (3 D).

I did just finish making a Bed of Roses Afghan, and it was in Octagons, but the leaves didn't stand up. If you want that pattern I could direct you to it.

I wish I could help you! Try Google! I can't believe that someone actually stole her afghan! That is so sad!

I am sorry....I was meaning that the background of the afghan was in an octogon shape. I really wish I had a picture of it I was soooo proud of it it was one of my first that big and my Mom just loved it. She took such good care of it that it was in as good a shape when it was taken as it was when she got it.

Yep....she cried for weeks especially since she is preparing her estate and my sister told her that all I ever wanted was that afghan. I really am not very materialistic but I made that for my Mother and just want to have it to remember her and with her health deteriorating it is really sad for both of us.
