I began this doily months ago, right after it came out in the issue of Magic Crochet. It has been something I work on a little but at a time because it has presented many challenges in the assembly process. Each ring is made separately, but in the process of making the ring it gets joined to the other rings, etc. It's all held together by the inner motifs and these anchor the rings into position. Only you can't just add the motifs until you reach a certain point in the assembly process. It's just plain NUTS! :thair
I finished it up last night and was pleased with the results. I'm going to enter it into the local fair this summer and see if I can't snag 1st Place with it. I just need to block it very well since last year I was deducted in points for not blocking as good as I could.

My next thread project is another of Yoko Suzuki's designs--a very large football shaped doily filled with flowers and leaves. It looks so awesome and I've been wanting to make the pattern for about two years.

Absolutely beautiful! My husband & I were shopping (for yarn of course). He ran across some thread & asked me what you would use that for. He could not believe it when I told him. :cheer More power to you:cheer
