I've been looking for some baby blanket inspiration and I found this gorgeous and simple blanket here: Baby Blanket (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jenny/3427616/)
Does anyone recognize the pattern? Does it look like double or triple crochet? I like the texture of it, whatever it is. I love the colours, the simplicity, the gender-neutrality of the design - I would really like to make one, but I need help finding the pattern or at least figuring out something close to it!
Thanks!

Someone has already asked about the pattern under comments - you might want to keep an eye on that page and see if she answers.
it looks similair to the teardrop afghan that MimiFL has made.

Yes, that was me who posted that comment! I'm just trying to cover all the bases (and I'm a bit impatient). Thanks for the link - I'll check it out!

To me that looks like a front post and back post double crocheted afghan.

Brenda - do you mean alternating stitches as fpdc and bpdc or one row front post and then the next row back post?

That is what I was thinking.
You alternate the stitches in the same row...like...fpdc in the first st...bpdc in the second st...fpdc in the third st...bpdc in the fourth st...repeat for the entire row. For the next row...fpdc in the fpdc of the previous row...bpdc in the bpdc of the previous row for the entire row.

this was alsp asked on the blog and here is the reply. :)
I didn't use a pattern, just rows of "bobble stitch" - www.crochetmemories.com/crochet4.php - until it looked about right. The border is either double crochet or the same bobble stitch - it's been a while and I can't remember exactly! The yarn is Lion Chenille, available cheaply all over the place. It's also soft and washable, which is pretty key for a baby blanket!

Tough I'm new at crocheting, I'd say that it's a double style, teapot100.
You're right, it's simple and vivid coloring, but I prefer the patterns you find in here:
