The only wearable I've made was the Ultimate Sock from CrochetMe (that was a doozy!). I'd like to try a top/sweater/jacket.
I subscribe to Crochet! and there are several great patterns, but I'm a little intimidated by the skill levels of those (and, to be honest, the joining of all the pieces).
Does anyone know of a low-intimidation top pattern?
Thanks!

Try this one http://www.crochetme.com/sweet. It was my first ( and only) sweater. It is all one piece - a good beginner sweater. See what you think.

Tropicalli has two very easy tank tops on her blog: http://www.flamingobay.blogspot.com/
These would be quick to make for summer.

Springiscoming, that sweater looks fabulous! And for the most part, the template doesn't look too confusing. This is definitely going on my Future Project list!

Musicmarth,
The first time I made it I used Homespun and I will probably take that one apart. After that I got braver and spent more money on yarn - picked up a boucle that was easy to crochet with. I like that one alot better.
The only problem I had with the pattern was that I had to redo (below the bust) because it came out too big in the back. If you try it on as you go, you'll know when to start decreasing. Good luck!
