I am trying to decide what I want to do to pass the time and I figured that I would start and hopefully finish a project on the ride. Does anyone have any ideas for projects that would be good?

How about a round ripple?? I like to crochet with yarn instead of thread when I am traveling. But then I am getting old and can't see as good as I used to.

Have a good trip!!! My DH works for Union Pacific RR so I know about train rides.....

I normally take some cotton with me and make dish cloths, tote bags and pot holders....small projects work best with me when I am in a confined space

I only have cheap yarn at the moment and I am trying to figure out how to use a bunch of it up, but I'm not sure what I will want to make with it.

How about picking a few squares and work on something smallish that you can put together later?
