I am planning on making my husband a special gift but am having a difficult time finding a pattern. I need a pattern for a 9" square with a star in the middle! If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated! I have absolutely zero experience with this "graphing" thing that I see spoke of so...I'm so lost.
Thanks ladies!

:think Can you make a star then turn it into a square?

This is a 6 pointed star but you could use a 5 pointer then using a contrast, make it into a square.
It would be a little tricky but not impossible.
Have fun.

http://hometown.aol.com/trishharich/ForeverStar.html. The star is done separately but the end result may be what you need??

There's a 12-inch pattern here (http://www.geocities.com/cdjsimon/crochet.html) that you could very easily leave a few rounds off to make it nine inches

You could work just the star and the blue until it is 9"...

Or...add to this to 9"...
