Hello,

I am looking for a simple crochet pattern for baby bibs, preferrably one that slides over the head of the baby. I am loving being a first time Nonnie, so many things to make for my new little guy. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Many thanks...such a wonderful site!

Bernat offers a freebie pattern that's pretty easy to futz with (I made the neck bands longer so they overlap - that way you only need velcro). There is an entire booklet of bib patterns but I've yet to see it sold anywhere (by the looks of the pictures, its a variation on the freebie pattern).

I once saw a knitting pattern for a simple bib. It was a square with a long strap on one side. The strap thingy went around the neck and buttoned on the other side of the square. That sort of simplicity gives you all kinds of delusions of talent.

Good luck!
