There are three things I have to do everyday, even if its only for 15 minutes, crochet, sew and embroidery work.
I wanted to show this bag I made using my redwork embroidery on a flour sack tea towel.
I am now trying to make a Terry Kimbrough baby afghan. The directions are a little different but hopefully it will turn out.
Thanks:manyheart

Kathy, I love redwork, and yours is so good! I used to embroider quite a bit in college, and actually I miss it.

Keep up the wonderful embroidery!

I love your redwork. The sunbonnet girl is so cute.

Over the past couple of years, I've been trying to get myself started with redwork (having done a lot of embroidery, including crewel, years ago), and haven't figured out the best way to transfer designs to fabric. How do you do that. I have some unbleached muslin. some redwork motifs from e-bay, and red thread, but seem to be all locked up when it comes to getting started. I really need some handwork to replace crocheting since I've injured my right hand from too much crocheting.

I love to do redwork, too. I have a few squares finished, but not made into anything. Your bag is really nice. You did a great job.

There's something very soothing about your redwork. Perhaps it's the simple and clean lines.
