I finished a scarf for my good friend's birthday. Yes, it's past the season for scarves (or at least it's supposed to be getting warm - one can hope it will), but she had expressed interest in having one... so of course I made her one. :wink

I decided to do something different. Here it is:

I used three different colors of Wool-Ease (2 greens and an off-white) and some Evita yarn (at least I think that's what it was - the label is long gone! :blush )

I really liked crocheting the scarf lengthwise. My mom gave me the idea to fringe it so that the fringes are a continuation of the stripes.

I'm making myself a plum colored one. :manyheart

Very nice! That is great. I love the colors and the textures of the stitches! Your friend will LOVE it.

That's gorgeous. I like doing scarves lengthwise, too. It gives it a dynamic look, maybe because it draws the eye up and down the length of the scarf.

Gorgeous Deb!! We're just coming into Fall fashions here and I saw very similar scarves selling in the shops for $60 just yesterday!! You're ahead of your time!!

My friend did love the scarf. She declared that it made her feel that she looked *stunning*. :princess She wore it the entire two hours that I was at her house.
