i dont think there is a pattern that has been printed. that is a copywritten charater and you would have to find a pattern that had been authorized by the owner of Harry Potter..but it shouldnt be too hard to find a pattern of a doll and turn it into one for yourself.

Seeking Harry Potter patterns (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44141&highlight=castle) with some info on them.

Unfortunately, the names of the major Harry Potter characters have been trademarked. (I checked this out on the US Patent and Trademark Office website.) This means that patterns featuring those names need to have licensing arrangements in place with the trademark owner. Licensing arrangements are very expensive, and many major crochet companies cannot afford them (unless they anticipate huge sales volume from the resulting patterns), which means independent designers offering patterns for free really can't afford them.

Our forum guidelines state that we don't allow links to patterns of trademarked characters/logos/whatever unless the site linked to claims to have the appropriate licensing arrangements in place.

So far, I'm not aware of any licensed patterns for a Harry Potter doll. If somebody does know of an appropriately licensed pattern, please let us know!

Despite my post in this thread telling about the problem with posting unlicensed patterns to trademarked Harry Potter characters, people are still posting links to sites with unlicensed patterns, which I then have to delete.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to close this thread. If you have any questions about why this is necessary, please send me a PM.
