You can only felt pure wool, not a blend. Unless the blend is natural fibre too. Zaraliz

That's not entirely true. Many wool blends will felt, with varying results. It does have to be a majority of wool. Patons SWS is 70% wool and 30% soy and it felts like crazy. Also, the wool can't be chemically treated to make it washable... i.e. superwash.
I'm just wondering why you are specifically looking for a blended wool yarn, rather than 100% wool.
As for a pattern, you could probably use any scarf pattern and just do it with a large hook. I like to use a size L hook. Don't pick a pattern that has a lot of stitch detail because it will disappear when the scarf is felted. Personally, I like to make a scarf by crocheting the length using HDC. You can change colors to create stripes. However, having said that, I've never actually felted a scarf, and since crochet shrinks much more horizontally than vertically, you might have more control by crocheting the width.
Good luck!

felt a lot, so what? I'll just wear it as it is (unless of course it looks awful!)

If you're planning on felting it, you would have to make it very oversized (wider and loinger). So You might want to make a swatch first, measure it, felt it, and measure it again to see what you're going to get before you put all that work in......and then maybe not be able to frog it either after you wash it - unless you want a very oversized scarf....:hook
