Charity for Babies, by Kids

Hi! I'm a 4th and 5th grade teacher for deaf and hard of hearing kids in Baytown, TX, and we are learning to crochet. We are making preemie baby blankets, hats, booties, and onsies for hospitals that we will send to as many different hospitals as we can. If any of you have some spare yarn that you could donate for this cause, we sure would appreciate it!:yay2

Hi and Welcome to the board! That sounds like a neat idea.
I do baby things for charity as well. Have you ever tried asking yarn companies for yarn? Sometimes they donate to charitable causes.

Vickietoria-- Sorry I don't have any yarn left.. in my downsizing efforts, I made one huge scrap afghan and got rid of the rest.

I teach special education grade 4/5 and taught the kids to crochet. There is so much reward in this! I hope you have as wonderful a time as I do with my class!
