I saw a link the other day to a site that wants 1" or 2" motifs...like the beginning of a granny square.
Now I can't find the thread with the link in it.:cry Does anybody know the link?
I have lots of little left overs that I could make 2" motifs with and send to them...if only I could find the website again.
Thanks,
Barbara

I know I've seen it too, Barbara, but I'm at a loss to remember where it was. Hopefully someone can find it for you, and I'm still trying to think of where I saw that.

Don't know who all accepts the Granny's Daughters but there is a group out there that accepts any size or color or type squares in worsted weight yarn called loveafghans4prr on Yahoogroups.com. I would just recommend labeling if it's made from something like wool due to allergies.
Check it out- they'd probably be glad to get whatever size squares or yarn or motifs you have.

Oh my, what a great use of scraps.:yay I can do this at some point in time, as long as I don't have to assemble them. I know that would drive me crazier than I already am.:rofl

I love making granny squares but...all those ends to weave in drive me nuts. Good thing to do while watching tv though.

I'm mailing out 40 little circles tomorrow. I just checked the website for the address to send them too. I noticed that it says the last time the site was updated was in 2004.
Does anybody know if she still wants the circles? Guess I'll go ahead and send them with a note asking if she wants more. :)

Hey Wendy,
Have you heard anything from Circles of Hope? I haven't. I send an envelope full of them along with a note asking if they still want them. I also sent an email to the addy on the Circles of Hope website. I haven't heard anything at all.
Anybody know anything about this???:think

If you go to the crochet for charity posts, here, in C'Ville, there is a request for these granny's daughter circles. I have already sent a few, and plan on making more. These are accepted on a regular basis, so there isn't a time limit to get them done. They are fast and easy to work up. Go check it out! :D It's closer to the bottom of the page....if it doesn't get moved to the next page. It's called: Wanted: Granny's Daughter's For Charity.

I have been accepting these granny's daughters to make afghans for the local women's shelter. The kids love them! Most of the women that go there go with nothing but the clothes on their backs with their kids in tow. For a little one to get a blanket of their own when they had to leave it all behind is worth all the hard work that goes into weaving all those ends in. If anyone wants to send some to help out, please let me know because I could sure use all I can get. Just send me a pm and I will send you my address.
Thanks :)
