I am looking for a free Mickey and Minne Mouse crochet pattern. Does anyone know if there is any such site available?

Thanks
John

I doubt it. Most liscenced characters are difficult to get permission to publish patterns for. I, personally have not seen any and certainly not any that are free. The only suggestion I have for you would be to find a pic of Mickey and Minnie you like, put it into a graph program and make a nice graph afghan with them stitched in it but that's the only idea I have.

Good luck!

Mickey and Minnie are copyrighted and trademarked characters belonging to Disney. In order to distribute patterns of these characters legally, a pattern designer would have to get permission from Disney. This means entering a licensing arrangement, which is very very expensive. Plus Disney has some pretty hefty requirements as to what type of company they will even talk to about licensing arrangements, and independent designers don't meet their qualifications.

Leisure Arts has published a pattern booklet or two with Mickey and Minnie, and that's about the only officially licensed source for patterns I know of.

Crochetville's guidelines do not allow links to or any type of discussion about any unlicensed patterns of trademarked characters that may exist somewhere, to protect Crochetville from charges of contributory copyright or trademark infringement. So you won't be able to find links to any free patterns here. :no

Here's the link for the Leisure Arts ~ Mickey & Minnie Dolls (http://www.leisurearts.com/customer_care/search/item_detail.asp?item_num=3293&sort=title&page=1&rec_num=0&startRec=0&skill=KC&search=mickey%20mouse). You'll have to let me know how they turn out, if you get them. I've been thinking of getting them.

I know I've seen a Leisure Arts booklet for crocheted afghans of Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Joann's. I'm not sure if they still carry them. But you could go over to the Leisure Arts website and probably find it there.

Thanks to all that replied to my inquiry about Mickey mouse pattern. I checked the Leisure Arts site and will be ordering that pattern within the next day of so. I will let you all know how it turned out and with pictures. Thanks again for your help.

You can also make a Mickey using just three circles. Make a large one for the head and two smaller ones for the ears. Just add a bow for Minnie.
