Hi, we are starting a prayer group at our church this month and some of us who are working getting this going are looking for a pattern for a prayer cloth that we might share with the group. From what I have found some groups are useing washcloth patterns, or just making a square of what ever size they wish. Does anyone have a square with a cross in it that would be easy to make or any suggestions would be very helpful.
Just something we can use to give to those who are ill are going through something to remind them that the group is praying for them when they see it. Thanks and God Bless

Hi, we are starting a prayer group at our church this month and some of us who are working getting this going are looking for a pattern for a prayer cloth that we might share with the group.
Hopefully, someone will come along with information for you on where you can find links to free patterns that might work or some sources for patterns that have been published in books/magazines/leaflets.
I'm sure your group will want to comply with copyright laws. :) If you are given sources for patterns published in a book/magazine/leaflet, each person in your group will need to purchase their own copy.
If you are given sources for links where free patterns are available online, you could do one of two different things.
First, you could just give each member a handout with the LINK to the website, so they can visit the website and print their own copy. After all, the reason the designers give their patterns away for free is so they get more people to visit their site. Even though the pattern is available for free, it would still be a violation of copyright law to make copies of the patterns for all your members without permission. (Unless the site specifically says you can print as many copies as you wish to give to your friends.)
Second, you could contact the owner of the site where the free pattern is posted and ask for permission to print a copy for each member in your group. Some designers may be happy to give you permission to do this; others may want each person of your group to visit their site individually.
