Local Nashville Crocheters

[Nashville Crocheter]

I found a group of ladies that crochet for different charities here in Nashville. They make hats for cancer patients and baby garments (hats and gowns) for premie babies in Vanderbilt Hospital.

Since no one has responded to my post about Crocheters in or around Nashville, maybe I can add some of these ladies. They meet every Tuesday in Hobby Lobby.

They meet for 2 hours to crochet and talk. They bring in the items they have crocheted during the week and the amount is recorded. They made and donated aver 600 hats for cancer patients in the first 5 months of this year.

The Hobby Lobby where we meet now is in Madison.

There is a new Hobby Lobby getting ready to open in Hermitage...so some of us may start meeting there. Then we will have 2 meetings each week!

Let me know if you you would like to come meet and crochet with us. We would love to have you.

The one opening in Hermitage would be closer to me. I can't say that I know of one in Madison, but I don't drive out near Rivergate that often. Waaaayyy too much traffic for me.

i am glad i found this thread... nashville is near home to me.. so when i get back there i would love to find you ladies... sounds like alot of fun.. and nice to know other ppl share my enthusiam about doing things for charity..

i make chemo caps because i have survived cancer as well .. and know what its like to have a cold head!... cant wait to meet you guys...

I love the idea of what you are doing, but I live in McMinnville so I can't get to your group, but please keep me informed about what is going on.

this is SO NO FAIR!...........LOL. I live in Oak Grove bout an hour away from you gals and would love if there were someone closer to me I could sit and gab with and crochet/ even the K word or just anyhting like this. My girlfriend is leaving me in July(military families mine and hers...... they are going to georgia :( ) We sit and do our thing I crochet and she cross stitches. It is SO nice and ya know sometimes we talk and others we just do our thing together and either way I love just being with her. I odn't know anyone else from my friends that do this or are interested in learning so I kinda feel left out now that she is leaving me. I do have a LYS and she has a group of ladies that do this sometimes but I haven't been only because I just have a hard time goin into new places and meeting new people. But I think if I lived closer I would have ta meet you ladies for this. So have fun and keep up the hookin! :D

Well I am in Clarksville and I would be willing to drive once a week to meet and crochet, especially for a good cause. Is it still up an running?

Hi they do still meet at Hobby Lobby on those days. Nashville crocheter pm'd me a couple weeks ago about joining them. I live in Hermitage and would love to start going to the hermitage Hobby Lobby when I can get my 4 year old started in a preschool right now I have no babysitter. Hopefully within a month or so.
