A friend at church had a crochet jacket made out of thread that she bought as set with a dress. It was sooo pretty I would love to try to make one if I could find a pattern. I've tried Google and pulled a blank, do any of you have a pattern or know where to look for one?

Thanks!!
Karen

Thanks but I have already tried there. This was a mix of motifs and filet and it really was pretty. I know it was most likely made in China or some such place but sure would like to try my hand at making something similar!

I wish there were more designs for thread clothing, it seems hard to find. I have a Japanese book with several amazing thread jackets in it. You have to use the diagrams (unless you can read Japanese) and the garment size is small, but there are several shrugs where size could be adjusted easily I think. Or if like me you are not a small size, you could try using the jacket designs as a basis and make adjustments for size.

If you are interested you can see a few pics from it here

The pictures in the book are just gorgeous and I enjoy looking at the diagrams:lol

Thanks, I love the one from the Garnstudio, Crocheted Cardigan in Muskat. Just what I was looking for and it's in American English so I don't have to translate!
