UPDATE 9/21/07: We have already reached our maximum enrollment of 25 for our test class. For those who didn't make it in this time around, please don't worry. If this works well, Kim plans on teaching more classes here, and I've already been contacted by another teacher interested in teaching classes. So hopefully, you'll get many more chances to participate in online classes.
So many of us have looked longingly at the fabulous schedules of classes for major crochet conferences, but for various reasons we're unable to attend. Or we have wished our LYS or local community college taught more than just an introductory crochet class.
Well, we are undertaking a new endeavor here at Crochetville to bring the classroom to you! You can learn in the comfort of your home, in the middle of the day or the middle of the night. Wear your pajamas if you want!
We are pleased to announce the introduction of Online Classes at Crochetville!
Kim Guzman has graciously agreed to teach our inaugural class: Tunisian Throw Pillows, a 3-week introduction to Tunisian crochet.
We will use this inaugural class as an opportunity to test our new online class system, and make sure we have things set up properly. We'll need to make sure we have the registration and payment process working correctly. We want to test how our planned format for teacher/student interaction works. We'll be asking for suggestions from class participants to how we can make the online class format a wonderful experience for you.
So we'll be offering this first class for a nominal fee of just $1.00. We need to charge the nominal fee to make sure our subscription and payment process is working.
