How do I get my beads to lay flat in my crochet? They always seem to slant. It's a nice look, but not all the time.
Also, any sources for beads with large enough holes that are NOT pony beads?
Thanks everyone:)

What type of beading are you doing? Can you give an example of some stitches. For instance, If I single crochet a row of beads, then turn and do a row without beads and then turn and do another row of beads, the beads will form a diagonal look. If you do the same sort of thing with a tunisian stitch, the beads will end up in rows.

If you want to use smaller beads, I think you'll have to use a smaller yarn and a smaller needle to thread the beads. Again, if you give an example of what yarn you're using, we can give you more useful feedback. For smaller beads, I use a size 30 thread. Some beads go on size 10 thread easily.

Thanks, Marypat. I'm on a jewelry kick and I'm using Hilos Omega nylon for most of it. So far I've been using single crochet with D hook.
