A group I work with, Native American Support will be beginning our slipper blitz shortly. We need slippers, slipper socks, warm foot wear, in all sizes, colors, shapes, etc. :bigsmile Many of these people do not have heat in their homes during the winter and are desperately in need of items to keep them warm. Please consider making at least one pair of slippers for them. More information can be found at Native American Support (http://helpinghearts0.tripod.com/) Yahoo - Native American Support Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NativeAmericanSupport/)

Here are some pattern links: :bigsmile

WW acrylic is generally the least expensive to use. Superwash wool is great, too.

Thanks for helping out! Have you decided on a pattern yet? :bigsmile

Quick Slippers (http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/slippers1.html) I like these for easy and quick. Slippers are easier to make than socks as you don't have to shape the heel and they are seamed together (usually). Once you make a pair, you'll be hooked! (no pun intended) :bigsmile

Hey! I can do that pattern! Should be a change from hats but just about as quick. :) I like the Cuff version too.

It's very easy and makes a nice change from other things. :bigsmile
