We're back! Wheeee! :cheer :yay

So, what did everybody do while we were offline?

I'll start :lol ... when I wasn't actually working on the server move :compute (which was handled primarily by our new host, but I had to work with them on certain things ) I was thinking about the server move:scrachin , worrying about the server move:sweat , and pacing.

Now I'm excited to see people trickling in, coming back online! :bounce

I spent the afternoon/evening at the high school's homecoming football game, providing in-stand support to the band.

Despite the fact that we had yellow caution tape up blocking the walkway, the parents still had to form a body-shield to keep the kids from walking through the band area.

The kids want to walk from the main stadium section, on the narrow walkway in front of the band, to get to the small student section. With the drum majors' stands and other equipment, there just isn't room for them to do that. So they have to go down some steps, behind the bleachers, and up the ramp at the other end. It's really not that much extra effort for them.

But they seem to think if they argue enough or surge forward enough that we'll get out of their way and let them through, even though we've already told them they can't come through.

The football team lost, but the band performed a great show!

Yay! We're back! I was so lost, but I did go downtown and go to the library and thrift store (no yarn or patterns, darn it). Also managed to order sock yarn online then read half of one of the books, but I didn't actually crochet yesterday, lol.

I was away on a conference for work so I was too tired to check things out. Glad I missed the downtime-I would have been crazy always cheching to see if it was up again!

For me the time went fast between crocheting, watching premier tv shows driving kids around here & there. I actually didn't know the Ville was down until last night & then it was back this morning which was a nice surprise compared to a possible 24-48 hrs. :)

Hmmm, in between checking the computer, I did the ironing, bought thread to try a painted doily in the future, worked on my doily and tree skirt, and completed the 1st two blocks from the Crochet Blocks series in the Lion Brand newsletter (BTW, the patterns for these blocks are badly written; errors in both). I;m making them in bright primary colors so that I can join them and donate to a kids' charity.

:hi everyone! I'm so glad to be back (:cheer)! Looks like the 'Ville server migration went very well - too bad my ISP did not do so well (:angry)! I had to call my ISP's tech support and then issue commands from my end to "flush" (:rofl ) the DNS defs to get the new address for the 'Ville (:eek )!

I was going through serious withdrawal, I tell ya (:sweat)!! I didn't want to admit that I was at the 'Ville so often, but now I can't deny it any longer (:blush). But I can get to the 'Ville finally and I'm so happy (:dance)!!!

Yea, thanks, Donna, for doing all our pacing and worrying for us! I worked (without surfing here, shh! Don't tell the boss!), then, at night, watched a hilarious campy movie on TCM (called Vice Versa from 1948) while working on a Red Scarf Project scarf. And worked on tea cosy swap assignments (which I'll mail out tomorrow). Nice to be back, though! Patty

I did some crocheting! I also did 2 loads of dishes, cleaned 2 bathrooms, folded 3 loads of laundry, picked up around the house, and cooked. I had some catching up to do with housework since DD was sick this week. She's better now and Crochetville is back. So life is good!

Well I went to Renn Faire and worked on a scarf for The Red Scarf Project which I am now frogging cause I made it two times too wide and it is stiff. Should be five to eight inches wide and mine was ten inches wide. So much fun frogging NOT! Then I'll start it all over again. I already have one done. I also checked over and over again last night but finally gave up and went to bed.

I got more studying done (2 term papers to write so any extra time helps) and worked on my prayer shawl. I sure did have withdrawals though!

Is anyone else having a problem since the change. Everything is larger and things such as the smilies are not lining up as they should.

I croheted some, checked to see if my provider has updated at their end yet. Played some games, checked again to see if I could get to C'ville.
It took my provider 24 hrs to update at their end. So here I am, a day later, but here..lol
