I'm thinking of adding thread to my scrumble, and I was just wondering if anyone else has used thread in their scrumbles? If so, I'd love to see/hear how it turned out!

Haven't tried it, but you're tempting me. Goodness knows I have more thread than I know what to do with.:hook

I too am curious to see what someone can do with thread and freeform, I'm about to try freeform for the first time, and I do have tons of thread that can be used. I'll try yarn at first, thread will be after I get comfortable with the idea of free flowing crochet! Maria

After posting this, I went on to add thread to my African Elephant Ear. For the bookmark swap, I sent two freeforms out. I hope their recipients like them!

I found this site on scrumbling with thread:
freeform knitting (http://www.eject.com.au/e-motive/prudence/closeup.htm), Otherwise known as scrumbling.

HERE ARE SOME OTHER THINGS I FOUND AT THIS LADY'S BLOG:

I've used bits and pieces in my work. I'll have to post a pic once the digi is back to working. I also used embroidery thread/floss and yarn for cross stitching. I kept it relatively small, tiny flowers, leaves, added a few beads to some. I rather like using these alternative threads when making circles or flowers that are going to be added to a free form piece. Lots of fun. Go for it! I've also just learned to knit and am looking forward to incorporating both knit and crochet into one piece~*

I love Prudence~ but oh it can be a time killer when visiting because I get so caught up in the visual experience. She does amazing work~*
