I finally finished my Salt River Poncho (http://www.soysilk.com/images/Pattern%20Salt%20River%20Poncho.pdf).

http://vhanna26.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/salt2.jpg

I had some issues with the rectangle size--frogged it several times:eek --and I ended up using an extra skein, but I love the color and the drape on it.

It fits well too, and I'll wear it to work and show it off at my Knitting Guild (http://groups.msn.com/CoastalCulturedPurls)--yes knitting guild meeting--tonight. I'm a knitter too, and I find this is a wonderful way to promote crochet.;)

I used Bamboo yarn from Southwest Trading Company. It's bamboo fiber, and it holds color very nicely, and has a neat glass and drape. I've been wanting to make something out of it for a while now, and this poncho was just the thing.

At around $14 skein, it is expensive:eek, but I was able to get the yarn in exchange for making some store samples for my LYS. I also teach for yarn too.
