I have been searching and finding a lot of dead links but so far the roses I've found are pretty flat looking. I'm trying to decorate a knitted hat my oldest daughter made for her 4 year old sister.

I Goggled and found this one (http://www.modadea.com/patterns/rose.htm). It was made using a variegated yarn, but would probably look very pretty in a solid "rose" color yarn.
