Okay I know. Hairnet????:think My BFF and I are going to start a catering business and protection from loose hairs are a must :yes . I don't like hair nets but hats aren't that professional looking. Well not the look we are after. I was thinking of making life a mesh version of the rasta tam or a snood that covers the whole back of the head. I need it to cover the hair like a hair net. Any ideas??? :D :D :D Thank you for your ideas. Can't wait to see what I get. I know we are all up for challenges right. :turtle TIA!!!

A fez or a beret style might be worth looking at.

Whatever you make, wear it over a regulation hair net. The hair nets have a very, very fine net to catch stray hairs; I've worked in cooking, and unless you put your hair up in a bun and shellac it with hairspray, nothing crocheted - not even thread! - is going to keep hair out of food.

But, an open stitch/lacy rasta tam would be a great cover for the ugly hair nets.

Oh I know. I thought I'd tack sew an actual hairnet to the inside so I can put them both on at one time and of course replace hairnet as needed.
