scarf patterns

:think Doing scarves again this year for the military guys and gals in Iraq and Afghanistan for operation gratitude. Misplaced all my scarf patterns. Anyone know of a fast and easy pattern, not too open or "lacy" since most of them go to the guys!! Any help is appreciated.

I use a really quick pattern for a nice chunky not lacey scarf, suitable for guys or gals, I suggest using a hdc, chain as many as you want it long and then hdc in the back loops only in every row and you end up with a really nice chunky rib! its nice and quick using worsted weight yarn or if you have finer yarn, hold 2 togther, this also gives a nice tweed effect.
