Hello All!
I just found this site! :yay I've browsed around the threads and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with Dutchess County, NY and local organizations I could donate some crocheted items to? I travel to Danbury, CT and to Middletown, NY weekly so the organizations don't necessarily have to be in Dutchess County. I would love to find an organization that was local so I could get more involved. Thanks to all! -Ally-

I recommend going to www.carewear.org (http://www.carewear.org) and doing a search of their facilities...they have tons of places that need donations listed on their site!

Also try Project Linus, they may have a chapter near you :)

Hi Ally -
I'm a member of a crochet group that meets in Danbury, Ct. We donate to the Danbury Hospital (preemie blankets and chemo caps) and the Salvation Army (hats, scarves, mittens). If you're interested PM me and I can give you more info about the charities or the club

Ally-if you are still interested there is a search engine for charity info on the lion brand site. I did a NY search and there are 95 listed with all sorts of information and the lionbrand site has patterns too for your charity project.
